File A Report Online
Welcome to the AVÀÇ, East Bay Police Department Online Police Reporting System. If this is an Emergency, please call 911. This system will allow students, faculty, staff, and community members to file a police report online without the need to call the University Police Department (UPD).
A UPD staff member will review all cases filed within this system. Once a report has been submitted, please allow 24 to 48 hours to receive a case number via e-mail. If any additional information is needed, you will receive a follow-up call or e-mail from a UPD staff member regarding your case.
Please confirm the following to ensure reporting online meet all requirements:
- This is not an Emergency
- The online reporting system is intended for non-emergency incidents only, in which the suspect information is unknown. If you or someone else knows or saw an individual conduct a crime or if any person, animal, or property is in immediate danger, call 9-1-1 immediately!
- This incident occurred on the campus of AVÀÇ, East Bay OR the incident involved property owned by AVÀÇ, East Bay
- If a crime occurred off-campus, please contact the responsible jurisdiction’s police department. Missing Persons are an exception and may be reported to AVÀÇ, East Bay.
- There is no known suspect information
- Suspect information is any information you might have on who committed the crime. Any identifying information including A person’s name, or a vehicle license plate number can be considered suspect information. Reports with suspect information require investigation by an Officer and cannot be reported online. If your report has suspect information, please contact a Police Officer to report the incident at 510-885-3791.
- The following incidents CANNOT be filed online:
- Violent Crime (personal assault, kidnapping, robbery)
- Hate Crime
- Sex Crime (rape or sexual assault)
- Missing Person
- Stolen Vehicle (theft of a vehicle, trailer, motorcycle)
- Lost/Stolen License Plate
- Domestic Violence
- Assault and Battery resulting in serious injuries (including injuries requiring hospitalization or medical treatment)
- Traffic Accidents involving serious injuries, DUIs, or unlicensed drivers unless all parties have left the scene
- Stalking
- Extortion
