The C. E. Smith Museum is turning 50! Please join us for a reception to celebrate this milestone and honor the legacy and ongoing impact of Dr. Lowell Bean (1931-2023), the first Museum Director. His dedication laid the foundation for this museum to flourish as a space to connect people with cultures around the world. Over the years, student exhibits have explored places from the American Southwest to Machu Picchu, and topics as diverse as shamanism and toy train collecting!

See the current exhibits featuring topics on restoring indigenous burning practices, and rebellion in the old Southwest – each offering a window into a different part of the human experience.

We invite you to bring your memories and stories of the museum to share a special moment or favorite exhibit! Don't forget to mark your calendars for an evening of celebration, reflection, and exploration.

Hope to see you there!
