Somak  Paul, Ph.D

Dr. Somak Paul is an Assistant Professor of Operations in the College of Business and Economics. His research interests lie in the domain of socially responsible operations and behavioral operations. His research papers have appeared in Decision Sciences Journal and Journal of Business Logistics. Dr. Paul earned his Ph.D. in Operations from Ohio State University. He received a Master's in Statistics from Ohio State University, an MBA from Purdue University and a Bachelor's in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from Jadavpur University, India. Before returning to academia Professor Paul worked in the industry for over eight years in various capacities in some of the top Fortune-100 companies such as Amazon.com, IBM Corporation etc.
